HomeBackupLab publishes independent research on home backup power — whole-home batteries, portable power stations, and the incentive programs that change their economics. We exist because most advice in this space is written by the companies selling the products — and it shows.
What we do differently
- Independence: no vendor pays for a ranking, ever. Our revenue comes from affiliate commissions and (eventually) display advertising — both disclosed, neither influencing verdicts.
- Numbers over adjectives: we publish the pricing math, assumptions, and dates behind every recommendation, so you can check our work.
- Maintained content: every page shows when it was last verified. Stale data gets fixed or pulled.
